We offer a variety of sessions on the riverbanks where volunteers can help with woodland management activities and ongoing maintenance.

Conservation Task Team members are always supervised by qualified staff. Activities include clearing invasive vegetation, building fences, repairing footpaths, tree and seed planting, litter picking and a range of other countryside tasks which enhance the woodlands for those who visit and the wildlife that lives there.

Contact events@durhamcathedral.co.uk for more information.

We welcome enquiries from companies who wish to incorporate Conservation Task Team volunteering on the woodlands and riverbanks as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.

Volunteering opportunities for this role will be advertised on the main volunteering page when they arise.
