We are joined by representatives from our armed forces to remember those who have given their lives in service of their country, and those serving who put their lives at risk today.
Please note: A large number of uniformed contingents attend this service by invitation but there are several hundred seats left free for members of the public. These seats are offered on a first come/first served basis on the day but people who want to attend the service should arrive in good time and should aim to be seated by 9.45 a.m. at the latest.
Take a moment to remember the lives lost
The Durham Light Infantry (DLI) Chapel is open during normal cathedral opening hours. The chapel is a place of peace, respect and gratitude, where it commemorates the service and sacrifice of local soldiers.
