Become a Patron and help preserve and share over 1,000 years of faith, history and community.

Making a difference

The support of our Patrons ensures we can continue welcoming visitors to this most special of places.

Music

Your support allows us to continue the Cathedral’s choral and musical tradition. In return, Patrons enjoy priority booking for a number of concerts.

Worship

We have Patrons who join because of their faith, their wish to share God’s love or their love of Durham Cathedral. You help us facilitate 1,400 services every year.

Exhibitions

We simply couldn’t create exhibitions like Open Treasure without you. Patrons' ongoing support allows us to stage a rolling programme of exhibitions.

Conservation

You help us preserve unique buildings and collections, our precincts and the wooded riverbanks that give the Cathedral its beautiful setting.

Learning and discovery

Patron support helps our Learning Team expand its award-winning learning programme. This allows more young children, families, schools and adults from across the region to be inspired by their local heritage.
