Location: Durham Cathedral
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £25,000 per annum (Subject to Job Evaluation)
Hours: The normal weekly timetable is as follows, (subject to review): 37.5

Job description

If you are self-motivated; are seeking to develop your career in HR, and can influence your positive attitude on others then we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a small team that delivers a proactive and customer focused HR & OD service to both Durham Cathedral and the Diocese of Durham.


Using your excellent interpersonal skills, your proactive approach and your ability to work as part of a team you will gain valuable practical experience, whilst developing your competencies, in providing generalist HR advice, support and guidance to managers, staff and office holders on a range of employment matters. To facilitate your development you will ether hold a degree relevant to this role; be CIPD qualified or possess equivalent relevant HR advisory experience. You must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of employment legislation and current HR and OD practice, including relevant codes of practice and case law.
