WILDLIFE IN YOUR SCHOOL GROUNDS
EYFS, Key Stages 1 and 2

Children participate in some environmental games learning about plants, animals and habitats.  They look for signs of wildlife to see what animals already live there.  They then return to the classroom and discuss what they can do to make the school grounds better for wildlife.  All children will make a fat ball feeder and for an additional charge of £10 per box they can make bird/bat boxes to keep at school.

THE BIG DRAW
EYFS, Key Stages 1 and 2

Children will explore their school grounds to see what wildlife they support and what they can do to improve it.  They will participant in an environmental  game to learn about plants, animals and habitats.  They will take photographs, collect leaves, seeds, twigs etc for inspiration for their drawings.

These objects will then be used as a starting point for a drawing and print workshop. Children will learn to look at the shapes, lines and textures of objects and will create large scale collaborative and individual drawings that represent them and their school.
