Clare manages the Marketing & Digital Team and oversees the marketing, communications and digital activity across all cathedral platforms, including website, social media and PR & communications.
Clare has a remit for all cathedral communications. She is heavily involved with Audience Development working closely on Vision 2033 as well as programming in collaboration with the Visitor Experience team. Clare leads on Brand and Tone of Voice for the organisation.
Background:
Clare has over seventeen years’ of experience in the arts, culture and heritage sector managing, delivering and evaluating marketing communications strategy.
Prior to working at Durham Cathedral, Clare worked as Marketing Communications Consultant for the North region of the National Trust and led on high-profile projects including a £9.4m project to transform Quarry Bank, the redevelopment project at Seaton Deleval Hall and Trust New Art, a series of contemporary art exhibitions.
She has a degree in Public Relations, a CIM in Marketing Communications and is also a Trustee of Historic Buildings & Places.
