The Cathedral is a very busy place.

Occasionally there may limited access to all or parts of the Cathedral because of a service, special event, or day to day ongoing repairs. We do try to minimise these times, knowing that people often travel from a distance to visit. As soon as we know about a closure or limited access we post information below. As we are a working church some services, such as funerals, are arranged at short notice.

Please do remember to check for any last minutes changes prior to your visit. Our current fortnightly schedule for services and events can be seen here, or visit the What's On section of the website.

Please note there is no access to the top of the Cathedral Tower at present as we can carry out essential conservation and repairs.

Please note, access to the Cathedral will be restricted on Monday 26 June from 1.00pm - 2.00pm for a funeral service. Thank you for your understanding.
