The Cathedral is open every day of the year. The Chapter of Durham is committed to providing free entry for all; when you visit please donate as generously as you can so that free entry can remain.
The Cathedral is open for worship and private prayer between 7.30am and 9.30am Monday to Saturday; 7.45am and 12.30pm on Sunday.
The Cathedral is open to 6.00pm Monday to Saturday; and 5.30pm on Sunday. From Saturday 18 July 2015 until Monday 31 August 2015, the Cathedral is open until 8.00pm.
You are welcome to join us for worship at our regular services. Please note that access to parts of the Cathedral may be restricted prior to and during regular services.

The Cathedral is an active place of worship. During special services and some special events, access to parts of the Cathedral may be restricted. Visit our Occasional Limited Access page for further details.
Please contact the Cathedral Office if you wish to visit on a particular day, especially when travelling far. Visitors are always welcome to attend services.
