Paul Edis & Graeme Wilson at Durham Cathedral - DJAZZ: The Durham City Jazz Festival

Sunday 9 June at 5:30 PM

A pipe organ and saxophone improvised duo in the iconic setting of Durham Cathedral. Don't miss this performance by two leading artists on the UK jazz scene.

Now in its 3rd year, DJAZZ: The Durham City Jazz Festival brings you an eclectic mix of contemporary and traditional jazz set against the backdrop of some of Durham’s most intriguing venues.

At the 2018 Ushaw Jazz Festival the duo performed an improvised set in the St. Cuthbert’s Chapel with Paul at the pipe organ. An unconventional setting for a jazz gig, the duo revelled in the chance to play with the incredible acoustics and atmosphere in their continuous improvised set. This year the duo are performing in what writer Bill Bryson described as ‘the best cathedral on planet Earth’.

DJAZZ: The Durham City Jazz Festival runs from 7th-9th June.

Tickets for the whole festival cost £20. Buy your ticket and see the whole festival lineup at https://djazzfestival.co.uk/
