What's On

Giving Day

Saturday 11 August at 11:00 PM

On the day we celebrate the founding of Durham Cathedral, we're holding a day celebrating the modern life and ancient history of the Cathedral in support of a campaign to protect our buildings. On Giving Day, all money donated in the Cathedral and online will be doubled with help from the Heritage Lottery Fund and go towards our Foundation 2020 fund for the regular care and repair of our precious buildings, now nearly a millenium old.

We ask that if you visit the Cathedral on Giving Day, you donate £3 to help us secure the future of this great Cathedral.

On this special day, photography will be allowed inside the Cathedral. Please be mindful of visitors who may be praying.
