Light Up A Life - St Cuthbert's Hospice

Sunday 12 December at 7:00 PM

Let your loved one’s memory shine brightly this Christmas. This annual service, organised by the St Cuthbert's Hospice, is an opportunity for anyone in our community to come together, whether they have a connection to the Hospice or not, to remember and celebrate the lives of those we love.

Find out more about the St Cuthbert's Hospice service on their website.

By donating to St Cuthbert’s Hospice through Light up a Life, the name of your loved one will be included in our Books of Remembrance which will be dedicated at the cathedral service. You will also receive a personalised remembrance card and a special keepsake, and the names of all those remembered will also be added to a special digital candles page on the St Cuthbert Hospice website.

Please book a ticket

Due to covid measures and to ensure your safety, we are asking everyone who would like to attend the service to book a free ticket here

Please ensure that all members of your party, including children, have a valid ticket to access this event. This is because we need to know how many people are inside the cathedral, and limit numbers in line with our COVID-19 risk assessments.

The service will also be livestreamed for those not able to attend in person.

Tickets
£14.30-£24.20. Please note: Concession prices are for children aged 3-18 (2 and under go free), OAPs and students.
Book tickets online here.

Keeping everybody safe

Please do not attend the event if you have any symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Upon entry to the cathedral, all visitors over the age of 18 must be prepared to show their NHS COVID Pass as proof of vaccination, a negative PCR or lateral flow test taken up to 48 hours before the event, or a positive PCR test from within the last 6 months.

We encourage visitors to wear a face covering in enclosed and crowded spaces where people come into contact with people they don’t normally meet
