NHS Carol Service

Thursday 16 December at 7:30 PM

The NHS Carol Service returns to Durham Cathedral. Tickets are required at this service.

NHS staff - past and present - will join family and friends to celebrate Christmas with a traditional Carol Service of readings, carols, and a Christmas message. An NHS choir created especially for this event will perform a number of well-known carols and lead the congregational singing.

NECS has the pleasure of organising the twenty-fourth year of this highly anticipated event on behalf of NHS organisations across the whole of the North East.

Please book a ticket in advance

If you’d like to attend this service, you must book a free ticket in advance.

Please ensure that all members of your party, including children, have a valid ticket to access this event. This is because we need to know how many people are inside the cathedral, and limit numbers in line with our COVID-19 risk assessments.

Book tickets online now.

Keeping everybody safe

Please do not attend the event if you have any symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Upon entry to the cathedral, all visitors over the age of 18 must be prepared to show their NHS COVID Pass as proof of vaccination, a negative PCR or lateral flow test taken up to 48 hours before the event, or a positive PCR test from within the last 6 months.

We encourage visitors to wear a face covering in enclosed and crowded spaces where people come into contact with people they don’t normally meet.
