Family Sleep under the Moon

TO BE RESCHEDULED TO 2021 - Exact dates to be announced soon.

Join us for this amazing magical family opportunity to sleep in Durham Cathedral.  The overnight ‘sleep under’ the moon will include family activities in the Cloister on arrival, family tours of the church after closing and pre bedtime storytelling under the moon.  Each family will be given a flag on arrival to place in the church in order to designate their sleeping area.  Includes a continental breakfast in the Cloister.

This new online community seeks to provide support and resources for those members of our congregation who join us partially or exclusively online. Joining the community will grant you access to a depth of resources, online gatherings and discussion to aid your journey in prayer and discipleship. If you have any questions about the community, this event is the place to ask them!

Remembrance Sunday

Unfortunately, we will not be able to conduct this year's Remembrance service as we would normally wish to.  On Sunday 8 November, there will be no public access to the Remembrance Sunday service.  We will however be live-streaming the service at 10.30am on our Facebook page.

Dave Finnegan's Commitments: Live at the Cathedral

Stelliferous Limited and Live at the Cathedral Ltd by arrangement with Piper Music Management presents Dave Finnegan’s Commitments and Lolly: Live at Durham Cathedral.

Over twenty years on, neither time age nor music has managed to tame one of the soul survivors of the Commitments. Mickah Wallace is brasher and louder than ever and continuing to spread the gospel of soul to the undisputed masses.  Dave Finnegan's Commitments undoubtedly continue where the film left off, still spreading the word of Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett and the other apostles of soul, and in doing so enabling us all to experience live, the essence of... sweet soul music.

After beginning his career at the age of 12, Aled became one of the world’s most successful boy sopranos, releasing 12 hit albums in 4 years with the defining moment being ‘Walking in the Air’, the hit song from the family-favourite, Christmas animated film ‘The Snowman’. As a broadcaster, Aled has forged an extensive career, having presented across BBC Radio 2 & 3 and BBC Radio Wales. Aled also hosts the Classic FM Sunday Breakfast Show and has become a popular favourite on the station and enjoyed his own show ITV Weekend.

Scouting for Girls: Live at the Cathedral

Stelliferous Limited and Live at the Cathedral Ltd by arrangement with Piper Music Management presents Scouting for Girls: Live at Durham Cathedral.

Friends since they were five, Pete, Greg and Roy have picked up nominations for four Brits, an Ivor Novello and played everywhere from a sold-out Wembley Arena to countless festival stages.  This year they have also released a new album ‘The Trouble with Boys’.
