Stephen Robbins – ‘Centenary Reflections on The Church in the Furnace: Can the Church of England learn from the British Army?'

To mark the centenary of the end of the Battle of Passchendaele, and the publication by Anglican army chaplains of a controversial manifesto for post-war church reform, The Venerable Stephen Robbins CB, Honorary Canon of Salisbury Cathedral and a former Chaplain-General of the British Army, asks whether the Church can learn from the recent pastoral experience of army chaplains.

Drinks will be served from 6.15 p.m. There is no charge for the event, but please confirm attendance by emailing by Friday 10 November.

Organised by the Centre for Anglican Studies, Durham University.
