Sunday School meets during the first part of the 11.15am Sung Eucharist during term-time. Children aged from 0-14, whether regulars or visiting, are welcome in the Cathedral’s Education Centre.
One of the Sunday School Helpers will be at the back of the church before the service to welcome any new or visiting children and their families who would like to attend, or a Service Steward can direct you to the Education Centre. Parents or guardians of young children are invited to join in with Sunday School.
The children are brought into church in time to receive communion, parents or guardians are asked to sit in the South Transept so that the Sunday School Helpers know where to find them.
Activity bags are available at the back of the church for children who do not wish to go to Sunday School, please ask the Service Stewards and return it at the end of the service.
During school holidays crèche facilities are available in the Chapter House, accessed via the South Transept. One Sunday School Helper will be on duty each week, and a parent or guardian is asked to stay with their children. The service is relayed to the Chapter House.
All our Sunday School Helpers have CRB clearance.
