IMOGEN MORGAN IS ORGAN SCHOLAR AT DURHAM CATHEDRAL

Imogen Morgan started playing the organ at the age of 10, under the tutelage of Edmund Aldhouse at Ripon Cathedral where she was also a chorister. Five years ago she was awarded the Jennifer Bate Organ Scholarship at St Catherine's School, Bramley, near Guildford where she frequently conducted the school chapel choir and played for weekly services at both the school and the local church. While at St Catherine’s, she had lessons with Katherine Dienes-Williams, Master of the Choristers at Guildford Cathedral and began working on her ARCO. Imogen accompanied her first Choral Evensong in Ripon at the age of 13 and since then has also accompanied in Guildford and Winchester Cathedrals as well as performing on the organs of St Margaret’s, Westminster, Uppsala Cathedral, Sweden and Ljubljana Cathedral, Slovenia.

As well as playing the organ, Imogen plays the piano, violin and enjoys singing. She is currently a first-year undergraduate at Durham University reading Music and is also Senior Organ Scholar at University College.
