Do you know a child that loves to sing? Durham Cathedral Choir is looking for the next generation of Choristers. This is a unique opportunity for any child in school years 2-6 to sing with the Choristers in the Cathedral.
Children will get the chance to meet the current Cathedral Choristers, hear them sing, and then make music together.
They will also have the opportunity to have a tour of the Cathedral, play the organ, and take part in craft activities.
Please Note:
- Places are limited and we’ll let you know if your child has been successful in getting a space.
- There are currently no spaces for children in Year 4 in the Cathedral Choirs as that year is full – children in that year are welcome to attend this event but won’t be able to audition
Schedule for the day
12.30 p.m. Registration in the Chapter House
12.50 p.m. Welcome
1.10 p.m. Choir Practice
2.00 p.m. Craft activity, tour of the Cathedral and organ playing activity
3.30 p.m. Break with a snack provided
4.15 p.m. Choir Practice in the Cathedral
5.30 p.m. Evensong
A separate schedule for parents/guardians will run alongside this.
