He also handles the higher level strategic element of how the finances we manage fit into the broader long term mission of the Cathedral, planning and managing the financial position over the medium to longer term in that context.
Background:
George's financial professional career began in the field of actuarial consultancy with a particular focus on pension schemes and investments.
He moved to New Zealand in 2007 and continued in a similar field, but then started to get more involved in the portfolio management side of investments, leading to a career focused more within funds management.
He led the NZ division of a global asset manager for eight years before returning to the UK in 2023.
