As Director of Development, Paul oversees the planning and delivery of all fundraising activity — from regular, legacy and major gifts by individuals to grants, partnerships, and corporate donations — ensuring that everyone can contribute to the life and vision of the cathedral.
Paul joined Durham Cathedral as Director of Development in May 2026. He works with people, trusts, public bodies and businesses who help maintain the spiritual, civic and historic life of the building and keep it accessible to all.
Background:
Paul has experience in fundraising as a director at Liverpool Biennial, Dance Consortia North West and Arts & Business as well as extensive experience in politics and business.
