Dan works with the Precentor to co-ordinate the liturgy and worship which takes place at the cathedral.
He also works with the Canon Professor as a member of the Steering Committee for the Durham Cathedral Institute, and co-ordinate the Cathedral's student ministry.
Background:
Prior to ordination Dan worked as an English teacher in a secondary school in Sheffield. He trained for the priesthood at Westcott House, Cambridge, before serving as an Assistant Curate at Doncaster Minster in the diocese of Sheffield.
Dan has a PhD in Theology and Religion from Durham University. His research focused upon the nature of beauty within the theology and metaphysical thought of St. Thomas Aquinas.
