The Undercroft Cafe is a unique space within the cathedral which offers freshly prepared food and a range of hot and cold drinks.

Sweet treats and light lunches

Located just off the west side of the Cloister, the Undercroft Cafe is known for its delicious range of scones, cakes and biscuits, freshly prepared by our talented staff.

The lunch offer is constantly changing, but you'll always find a selection of cold sandwiches, soup and savoury scones. Whenever possible we use locally sourced produce and ingredients.

Hot and cold drinks

We offer a great range of drinks, from freshly brewed bean to cup coffee and Brew Tea Company tea, to wine and apple juice. Whatever refreshment you chose, its a great companion to a delicious homemade cake.

Can I bring a picnic?

Yes, in the summer the Monks Garden is an ideal place with lots of picnic benches and open spaces to lay down your picnic blanket. You can always top up your picnic with a takeaway hot drink or a slice of cake from the Undercroft Cafe.

If you're feeling in the mood for more of an adventurous spot for your picnic, wander down to the woodland and along the riverbanks and find a secluded bench to enjoy your lunch.
