Durham Cathedral is an iconic building and a beacon of hope throughout the North-East and beyond. We want to share not only the story of Durham Cathedral and her saints, but also the faith which inspired them, and which speaks to all areas of life today.
This work will include:
- offering opportunities for visitors to Durham Cathedral to find out more about the Christian faith and its relevance today
- resourcing people in our worshipping community and beyond to explore how Christian faith connects with contemporary life and living
- encouraging dialogue which connects to local, national and international matters of public life, common good and social justice
- seeking to show the love of Christ in word as well as deed, through developing at least one major social action partnership
