The Revd Jane Maycock

Canon Missioner

Having started the role in May 2026, Jane will take forward the Proclamation strand of Vision 2033 and work as Co-Director of the Durham Cathedral Institute. 

Background

Jane was Acting Director of Ministry Development and Interim Diocesan Director of Ordinands in the Diocese of Carlisle. She has been ordained for 34 years and served in local church ministry and ministered as a theological lecturer, chaplain and DDO. A published author, Jane has recently completed her doctoral thesis at the University of Durham in the area of literature, theology and contemporary culture.
